Looking back at my school years in a French school, the French revolution and the paintings depicting it were a central theme in my education, and are cemented in my memory.
Sometimes when planning a shoot, they come up as inspiration and nudge the direction of the emotion I am aiming to capture.
Perhaps the model's own inner revolution helped bring this theme to the surface, or perhaps it was my own desire to break free from the restrictions I was putting on myself and my art at the time.
