This one started with a conversation, not a shoot. A woman reached out to me not long after she'd moved away from Sundbyberg, wanting something from home to hang in her new house. Not a landmark, she was clear about that, she wanted a view that anyone who'd actually lived here, for years, would recognise without needing to be told what it was.
We went back and forth for a while. I sent her a few ideas, she'd say close, but not quite. And then it became obvious, the way these things sometimes do once you stop overthinking them: the view that meets you the second you step out of Sundbyberg metro station. Nothing dramatic happens there. It's not on a postcard. But if you've lived here, you've stood in that exact spot a thousand times without ever really looking at it.
